Financial Agreement

I. Payment terms

§  Initial consultation fee is $60 at the Piano Art Studio and $120 in student’s home.

§  Payments are accepted by Checks or cash only.

§  Tuition can be paid monthly, or per academic semester.

§  The tuition must be paid in full on or by the first lesson of each month, in person, or by mail postmarked by the first lesson of the month.

§  Late tuition payments will be assessed the following fees:

o    1 week late - 10% of the total amount due.

o   More than 1 week late – 20% of the total amount due.

§  Frequent late payments may result in termination of lessons.

§  Returned check fee is $35.

§  Make-up lessons are subject to rescheduling fee.

§  The tuition charges apply to the lessons only and do not include fees associated with any other activities, such as performances on recitals, contests, festivals, etc.

 

Payments for Lessons on Holidays:

§  If a lesson falls on a Holiday (such as Labor Day, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving etc.):

o   It is assumed the lesson will be skipped and no tuition will be due

o   The student may request to schedule and pay for the lesson on the Holiday on or before the due date of their tuition (based on my availability).

 

Lesson Cancellations and Refunds:

§  No refund will be provided for cancellation of the lesson by the student for any reason.

§  Refunds may be provided if a lesson is canceled due to my absence ONLY, AND, if I don’t have any other available time to schedule a make-up during that academic year.

§  In order to terminate lessons with me a dated written notice must be provided at least 2 weeks in advance. Disregarding this condition will result in a charge of two weeks of student’s tuition.

 

II. MAKE-UP LESSON POLICY

§  While I make every effort to provide most consistent instruction and training for my students, make-up lessons are not guaranteed. Scheduling of make-up lesson depends on the availability of time in my schedule and MAY BE scheduled at any time throughout the academic year.

§  Make-ups may be scheduled for lessons missed due to illness or family emergency ONLY. No make-up lessons will be provided for lessons missed because of sports tournaments, celebrations, traveling, etc.

§  No more than 2 make-up lessons are allowed per academic year. Additional make-up lessons are subject to the rescheduling fee.

§  If a student cannot attend the lesson for any reason, a student may swap the lesson time with another student, and by that avoid missing their lesson. A prior 48 hour notice and my approval are required. Is NOT subject to rescheduling fee.

§  If a scheduled make-up lesson is missed (due to illness or family emergency ONLY) a second make-up lesson may be scheduled dependant on my availability and may be subject to rescheduling fee if a student has already used the two make-up lessons of that academic year.

 

 

 III. STUDENT MATERIALS / SCORES

§  All required materials/scores for piano lessons have to be purchased by the student. Occasionally, materials may be purchased for a student by me, for which receipts will be provided and a full timely reimbursement is expected.
